1989 Porsche 944 Turbo for sale
1989 Porsche 944 LS1History: One of the best sorted LS swap 944s in the country.  This car was swapped in 2011 you can read the history on Texas Performance Concepts forum under "it begins" by docwhyte.  He built the car and ran in NASA TT3 for several years.  The engine is built motor from Thompson Motorsports so it is new block and heads, intake throttle body headers.  The suspension and brakes are well engineered (see listing below).    picked it up April of 2016.  have used the car in few events including LSfest west grand champion and Sand hills open road challenge.  have sorted the suspension replaced the lower control arm bushings/camber blocks. new brake rotors pads, New clutch with new master and salve cylinders.  rebuilt the transmission.  Sorted the ECU wiring and had it tuned by Elite performance here in Denver.  Dyno run last month shows 399 hp 402 ftlbs torque.  have all paper work.  Extras: Extra stock hood,  Spare torque tube, spare rear torsion bar carrier, set of 17 inch square setup race wheels (911 torque) Engine: ThompsonMotorsports LS1 stroked (383ci) block, RHS 232 heads, forged internals, ported,polished, blueprinted, balanced. Fast 92mm intake and throttle body. Stage 3clutch.  Kook long tube headers with instainless exhaust .Turn one Power steering rebuilt in 2018, Superior products custom radiatorwith Audi aux radiator.  External oilcooler and remote filter. Updated Texas performance motor mounts in 2018.Brakes: Mustang Hydroboost brakes with Boxer ABS.  964turbo “Big Red” front calipers and rotors, 944 Turbo front calipers on rear.  Tilson portioning valve.Suspension:Custom valved Bilstein coilovers, M030 sways, corner weighted, Victor Eqwheels, Racers Edge adjustable camber plates. Transmission: 1989 Turbo LSD with cooler rebuilt in 2016 with NA 5th gear (taller).   Interior: Sparco Chronos seats, Custom door cards,Alpine head unit with speakers, A/C, cruise.Safety:Hanksville hotrods custom roll bar fully welded in, Harness bolt points reinforced with Sparco point harnesses good till 2021Other: 968 door handles, Euro rear bumper, Custom hood louvers, NewWindshield may 2019. Condition:  A/C is fully installed but will only hold charge for few days.  The hood has been on the car since 2011 but has too much support taken out to make room for the intake.  spare hood is included that can be modified properly (I have redesigned the intake) and painted to match.  Overall the paint is of 10 considering it is 30 years old (see pics).  have owned 944's over the past 20 years and this one is the best driver have had.  Everything in the car that moves has less than 6,ooo miles on it.
