1969 burgundy, standard Cougar with optional Drag Pak 428 Cobra Jet code. Drag Pak 3.91 rear (code V) with build dateof November 21, 1968. Delivered to Toronto Canada. This is not an Eliminator, but standardCougar with Drag Pak option. Sorry, no engine, drive shaft or transmission andI don’t know where these original parts went. Original interior except carpet. It does havethe original 31-spline, 9-inch rear end cast dated 8-J-23. Original burgundy color (code B) with white/redinterior (small tears driver seat). Novinyl top from factory. have Marti Report (see photo). Came from the factory with power disc brakes, manual steering, ram air, AMradio, rocker molding, raised letter F70-14s, traction-lok 3.91 ratio (V code),automatic C6 transmission and tinted glass-nice little drag racer in 1969. Original buck tag, VIN plate and door dataplate on car. magnet holds on 95% of this car. The body is nice and straight withdecent smooth paint needing just wax to shine better. Beautiful rust free doors and frontfenders. Both front fenders correctly dated 11 13W2. Passenger door is dated 10-1-W2. Driver door striker metal is dated10-14-W2. Frame rails look straight and solid (see photos) and engine bay apronsare excellent with factory spot welds visible. I cannot find date on the hood and see blue and brown paint peekingout underside. Trunk is dated 11-8-W2and is in fine shape. Shock towers aregood except for small 1-inch square cut-out on the driver’s side, bottom inside corner(see photo). see minor "hammer" work on uppershock towers for header tube clearance. Frontgrill is nice and straight. Some solid metalrust repairs on the trunk floor with undercoating added and this area looksgood from underneath. Left torque box isvery rusty and right has been repaired (see floor photo)--I would replace both. Some minor bondo in the very lower rear quarters wheremetal patches were welded in. Quarterslook good from inside the trunk with lower patch lines visible. Both long floorswere replaced in the past and seem fine, some rust showing under the back seatfloors. Wheel wells look good as does the rocker rails. believe other than the metal above replaced, the rest of the car is original sheet metal. Interior trim and original white interior are decent-some driver seatwear and tear. Nice dash with perfect and bright wood grain. Gauge faces are bright with tastefullyadded tach. Nice Carlite glass with windowsrolling good and both doors close perfectly. Speedo reads 6218. Beautiful original headliner, but two small mouseholes: one hidden above the passenger visor and the other above the driver rearsail panel. Doors close good with no sag. This Cougar has an odd looking drag pack oil cooler (maybe Canadian version) and one original upper oil cooler line. Lookslike it was drag raced in the day, but not abused or wrecked. No crazy race mods...justbolt-on frame connectors (see photo), ram air scoop painted black, trunk mountedbattery and 1971 Mustang rear spoiler added. Someone cut the hood’s ram air hole bigger-I hatethat! It has DSO of A1 Central Canada, but believe some of it's life was spent in upstate New York where got it. Notaware of any racing history for this rare cat with very sharp claws. This is solid Cougar that could have an engine/trans installed and could then be enjoyed.
