1970 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale
Up for auction is 1970 Mustang convertible.  I purchased this car off of eBay three years ago and drove it home to Dayton from Chicago.  Since then have had local shop put on new top with glass rear window (correct per the Marti Report), added the aluminum 17" Magnum 500 style wheels along with tires.  My son, buddy and myself reupholstered all of the seats and we installed new foam for the fronts along with installing new carpeting.  All done in the correct blue that the car came with from Ford.  The only three options that this base car came with from Ford were power top, AM radio (that still works) and power steering.  I have also added Ford center console and last Fall switched the front drum brakes over to power disc setup with kit from Kentucky Mustang.  I had also added aftermarket bumpers and taillight housings as the originals were pitted. To my knowledge the car was repainted 13 years ago the original medium blue metallic and has its fair share of chips and scrapes but shines well making it great driver and local cruise-in car.   Runs and drives well, original two barrel carb and single exhaust. gets lots of thumbs up when out driving.  The car has some minor drips that comes along with its age and not being restored specimen.  When installed new carpeting three out of four of the floor pans were rock solid.  The driver's pan had some rot, about four inch diameter, that did not do major welding repair to but instead cleaned up the area, put in piece of metal and sealed with undercoating.  I put POR 15 on top of the rest of the pans just for protection before putting the new underlayment and carpeting down. Both of the shock towers have torch hole in them that some service dealer did back in the day to access the grease fittings. That was pretty common practice back in the day.I really had not anticipated on selling this car but have an opportunity to get another car that have wanted and do not have enough garage space.  I am located in the Dayton, Ohio area, 45440.Thank you for looking and if there are any questions please ask.  Happy Bidding!
