1986 RENAULT 5 GT TURBO SILVER for sale
Now know every ones opinions varies so much when the word is "Immaculate" is used, so lets just clear this up now, the exterior of this car is IMMACULATE, it has had full glass out respray last year with body kit off and only covered approx 1k since. There is not single mark, stone chip, paint run, imperfections, nothing.
The interior is great, the car is 29 years old so plastics might have some marks.  Front seats are the best can get them, the phase cloth is unmarked, some nicks on the black material.Other than the dash having hole the size of 1p on the top due to gauges location, that is it.
Rust, well put it this way, have gone over this car with magnifying glass, ripped out the interior, had all the body kit off and bumpers. There is none, in fact, this car has never been welded, or does it need to be. Its bang on. have had 3x GT Turbos now, the other two where pretty good, but seriously, not patch on this.
What have found, battery tray could do with replacing, and there is small area on the bottom inside passenger door, its more surface so it will wire brush off if done carefully.
Spec (going to miss bits)- BB yellow spec engine which was fully balanced bottom end (recently rebuilt with new liners & low comp pistons) covered approx 3k..
- Ported head (lots and lots of porting)
- Shortened valve guides.
- Ported & matched manifolds.
- 285 Piper Cams.
- Catchcams valve springs.
- Front mount IC with pipework.
- Alloy Radiator.
- T28 Turbo which was rebuilt before fitted.
- Scorpian Exhaust.
- Satchs Volvo 480 clutch.
- Lightened flywheel.
- Carb setup for 22psi, running 18psi currently.
- Gaz Coilovers (new)
- EBZ drilled discs all round.
- AEM Boost & AFR gauges mounted in pillar pod (new)
Most of the above has only covered under 1k with exception of engine.
There is loads have missed as buy pretty much what want when want and not noted it all down.
As mentioned above, car is setup 18psi, believe me, it shifts, have no problem keeping most modern hot hatches behind me.
Recent work within weeks.
- New phase gear knob.
- New phase gear gaiter.
- Refurbed phase alloys with new Yoko A048 tyres (not done miles)
- New lower arms, ARB bushes, steering rack inner & outers.
- Brakes bled, calipers pistons freed, cleaned etc.
- Front headlight genuine covers.
- Genuine Renault under tray fitted.
- Renault 21 genuine mats (new) which cover the carpet where the clutch rubs on the carpet.
- Mot done in Sept for 12 months.
The gear knob, gear gator, alloy wheel refurb & tyres cost on there own over ??1000.
I am member of the GT owners group on Facebook so car is well known within the community.
This car does not see rain, if you want to view that's fine, only will be driven when dry, and will be driving.
