2005 FORD MONDEO ZETEC TDCI 130 SILVER 6 SPD 12 MONTHS MOT for sale
These live forever if you change the fuel filter every year and keep the revs above 1500 to protect the Dual Mass Flywheel. The previous owner had it for years and he was the second owner. DON'T BUY ONE WITH REPLACEMENT STARTER AS THIS INDICATES DISINTEGRATING FLYWHEEL. DON'T BUY ONE WITH REPLACED INJECTION PARTS, THIS USUALLY RESULTS FROM POOR SERVICING AND THEY NEVER RUN RIGHT AGAIN.
Good:
12 months MOT. 6 Speed manual box gives well over 50mpg.Strong engine, gearbox and clutch with no judder or slipping.Scans completely clean. Can scan it for codes whilst you watch if needed.Excellent interior.4 good tyres.New rear pads.Recent front pads.Recently refurbished wheels.Very full service history.3 working keys.Recent new front screen.Optional SONY disc radio fitted.Everything works as it should.Still has rear load cover.
Bad:
Usual minor scratches and dents, worst of which is small dent behind the passenger side handle will push out if you remove door card). Being silver scratches are difficult to see.Rusty tail pipe, box is fine just the end of pipe rusted through.Rear bumper bit scruffy compared to rest of car but for age still good. local breaker has good rear hatch and bumper in same colour for £60 if you feel it needs it.
Overall if you received this as hire car you would be happy with it's overall condition. For 05 plate vehicle this is fairly impressive. bought this two weeks ago as load lugger, but having sailed through the MOT can see that it still has useful life ahead of it as smart practical family car.
I don't do buy it now as find people end early then don't pay. would take £1500 if you need car fast.
