I have had this car since December 2016. I bought it as stopgap as my car had just died, and needed to get around until could find permanent replacement.
When bought the car, it had just had new MOT, with only one advisory: Underside of vehicle showing signs of slight corrosion. Not bad for car of this age (2002).
I have been pleasantly surprised by the car it always starts first time, and drives well. There is good amount of room in the back if you fold the rear seats.
I have now found my next car (an MPV need the space), so this car has to find new owner.
The car is well-equipped, with air-conditioning, heated leather seats, alloy wheels, and radio/cd player with steering column controls.
The tyres all have decent amount of tread, two Pirellis on the back, two nondescript on the front.
What's wrong with it? hear you ask!
Not much really. It is showing some signs of wear and tear, as would be expected for car of its age. However, do like to honestly describe anything sell, as you can see by my 100% positive ebay feedback.
The problems have spotted are:
The driver's door will only unlock if you pull the inside handle. It will lock using the remote key fob, or the key in the passenger door lock. I suspect something in the driver's door lock mechanism is jammed. As it is door, it is easy enough to reach round from the back door, or ask your passenger to unlock it. tended not to bother locking it!
The window on the driver's door works, but makes bit of noise. I think it probably needs new plastic runner fitting.
There is sometimes slight whiney noise coming from the engine. I had mechanic at my local garage look at it when first got the car. He shone his torch at it and told me that it looked like there was a slight wobble on the idler gear on the engine block (which the fan belt goes round). He told me they are about £40 for new one.
The speedometer periodically stops working for minute or two, then leaps back into life again. My mechanic says this is usually caused by poor connection or cracks on the speedo's PCB.
I think the car will need new brake shoes on the back soon, as you have to pull the handbrake quite high to lock the wheels.
I'm sure someone will get bargain, but need my drive space back!
Collection only, from Woodley near Reading.
You are more than welcome to come and inspect the car, and have a test drive just message me.
