Hi,up for sale is 1979 HZ Holden Utility.This car has been stored for many years out of the weather in enclosed shed.When we bought it years ago we because of other commitments just decided on storage.Car is virtually rust free,with only one little spot with couple of small pinholes.This vehicle we believe has always been country car,which explains why its still around.Ute has good running 202 engine coupled to speed trimatic leading back to 10 bolt salisbury differential with what have been told has ratio of 3:08. After removal from storage vehicle was given,New slave cylinders,brake shoes on the rear.Front received new pads,Inner and outer tie rod ends,front shocks,drag link,wheel bearings and other associated things.Has new windscreen,water pump and hoses,New lower steering column bearing,New side indicator lights.Even though car is not fitted with carpet at the moment,there is new carpet for it and will be supplied on sale.Body of car has its share of dents and other marks but this shows the age and character of this icon vehicle. Car is currently registered,and is being sold unregistered.I have seen through areas that in the past that metal has been used to repair areas(only small spots).A past owner believe was preparing this car for eventually showing.As you can see,gutters above drivers and passengers doors have been shaved.Giving cleaner and more streamlined look.The seams joining the front apron to the guards has been filled and edge filed.There are holes in each front guard.Not sure why they are there££££.Car has excellent floor pans,No rust at the windscreen corners,the original bench seat is in it but like them all it has seen better days but is quite usable.No problems.Car has an original towbar fitted.We do have the original steering wheel that could be refitted.After extensive searching we have discovered that this car has only got 130,500kms on the clock.This is great.Car has an original radio in it andYES it does work.Hoodlining hasnt been there for years and wasnt there when we purchased it.
